CHULSOO'S WORLD
BEFORE YOU ENTER

Still want to take a look?

Fitting Together
When I was with someone, I think I kept trying to make things fit.
The way we talked, the way we lived, the way we played music.
Perhaps I thought that was how we could feel comfortable and build a good relationship.
But looking back, that was not always the case.
The quiet older guys are still quiet, and their silence still makes me uncomfortable.
I still find it more comfortable to sleep alone.
The traditional Korean musician plays in their own way, and I play the piano in mine.
Of course, when we play together, we respond to one another and sometimes change naturally.
That is good, too.
I just no longer want to think of that change as a result we must produce.
There are moments when our differences make us uncomfortable, and moments when those same differences make things interesting.
The discomfort is still there.
And yet we can be together. I find that interesting.
