YOUNGGAM 11 — THREE COLORS

Traditional Korean music and jazz meet in one space.

Musicians with different histories, ways of playing, and musical languages make music in their own ways.

For this performance, I began with the thought that different kinds of music do not necessarily have to fuse into a single language.

Sometimes they respond to each other, sometimes they diverge, and sometimes they retain their own languages.

Between the pieces of music, three stories drawn from real experiences appear.

Rather than explain the music, these stories offer small clues to understanding the title THREE COLORS.
